Mission
Statement
The mission of the Office of the City Clerk
is to provide exceptional customer service to the citizens
of Eloy and our surrounding areas. The City Clerk's
Department is located at Eloy City Hall. The department
consists of the City Clerk, Human Resources, City Council,
Mayor’s Office, and Administrative Services.
The Clerk's Department keeps records of the
following:
Elections
City elections are held every two years and
are conducted by the City Clerk’s department. The Mayor and
Members of the
City Council are elected by the qualified
electors of the City of Eloy. The Mayor serves a term of two
years, and Council Members serves a term of four years. For

City
Council Meetings
Eloy City Council
meets every 2nd and 4th Monday of every month at 7:00 p.m.
in the Council Chambers located at 628 North Main Street.

Anyone who wish to have an item place on a future City
Council meeting agenda, please contact the City Clerk’s
office.
If you wish to appear before Council, you can do so by
signing in before each Council Meeting.
If you wish to have a fee waived for a certain city facility
or would like a donation of funds for a sponsorship or an
organization, you would need to appear before Council. A
formal letter on letterhead would need to be submitted to
the City Clerk. A form will be given to you at the time of
submission/request, please complete it in its entirety and
return to the City Clerk.
Business License Application
Pursuant to
City Code
Section 12-1, all individuals conducting business within the
City of Eloy limits must obtain a business license.
It is the
duty of this department to maintain accurate record of
businesses registered with the City and issue business
licenses to those who conduct business within the City
Limits of Eloy. These records are forwarded to the Arizona
Department of Revenue, who assures that businesses are
reporting taxes and paying sales tax revenue to the City.

License fees vary depending on what type of business and the
location of the business. For correct pricing, please
contact us.
Ordinance #07-688
**Effective July 1, 2007, business licenses will no longer
be prorated quarterly.** License fees herein may be prorated
to one-half (½) the amount required if the proposed licensee
will be open for business only after July 1.
Sales Tax ID Information
To obtain a
copy of the Arizona Department of Revenue Business
License-Joint Tax Application Form (a Sales Tax
ID) please

here to print and fill out the form. The form needs to
be sent or personally delivered to the Arizona Department of
Revenue. Please do not submit this application with your
business license application. The Eloy City Clerks Office
does not handle sales
tax identification numbers. A City license will not be
issued without a sales tax identification number if one is

Registrar
of Contractor's License Information
Please
provide us with a copy of your Registrar of Contractor's
License number, if you are a contractor or you are business
that is required to have one. For those businesses who do
not have a Registrar of Contractor's License number, please
click here to apply
for one with the State of Arizona. A City license may be issued without an ROC number
contingent upon approval; however, any and all advertisement
for the business must state "NOT A LICENSED CONTRACTOR."
